10% of athletes are cheating on baseline concussion tests
Research by the Universities of Georgia and South Carolina shows that around 10% of high-school athletes cheat on baseline concussion tests. Athletes deliberately underperformed on effort tests to manipulate their baselines. This presents a challenge for physicians who don’t anticipate this manipulation.
